Chandigarh Schools to Have Mass Inspection Against Dummy Classes

Chandigarh and the tricity students it’s high time to get serious about your full attendance in school if you are in class XI or XII. All CBSE schools in Chandigarh are under scanner and may get inspected soon by the board to check any irregularities in class attendance.

The board has taken this decision to put a stop to the culture dummy classes that prevails in Chandigarh.

Why is CBSE starting Mass Inspection

The students not attending the regular classes of XI -XII and are preparing for the competitive examinations like JEE medical tests, is the major concern for the board. In fact, students take admissions in dummy classes of the CBSE affiliated schools that not only hampers the regular board studies of the students but the results of the board examination also gets affected due to it.

That is why, the CBSE  is all set to commence a mass school inspection drive in the schools of the tricity, which is affiliated to the board. The drive is initiated to see, which all schools are offering dummy classes to the students of class XI and XII.

Directives for mass inspection at CBSE Schools

During the recent meeting between the school heads and the CBSE Regional Officer (RO), the RO had directed the schools that none of the schools in the tricity should practice this kind of admissions procedures that are against the policies of the board. In fact, he had asked all the schools to be alert during examination and should work effectively unbiased evaluation of every student. No school should be converted into a money making business house but should consider education as service towards the society.

A committee of three members has been formed for the mass inspection in the schools of the tricity at the meeting of state advisory council.
