You all might have heard the news about the first international flight from Chandigarh International Airport which is going to Sharjah. Air India is all set to commence its operations from the 15th of September and it is a matter of pride for Chandigarh. Traveling on the first international flight from Chandigarh is even a greater moment of pride. So, we thought of informing you about who all are travelling from Chandigarh to Sharjah on the maiden Air India flight.
The Air India aircraft which is going to Sharjah has a total of 186 seats.
Sukhbir Singh Badal & Company
Yes, the deputy chief minister of Punjab, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal is leading a delegation of 17 people from Chandigarh to Sharjah. The main motive of the visit is to hold road shows in Dubai to get investments for Punjab. Although the flight is between Chandigarh & Sharjah but the delegation will travel to Dubai from Sharjah by road.
N.K Sharma & Company
N.K. Sharma is a developer based in Zirakpur and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA from Dera Bassi. Being into real estate, he will lead a 30-member delegation of property developers from Chandigarh to Sharjah by the maiden flight.
30 Member Industrialists Delegation
Apart from Badal’s 17 member delegation, N.K. Sharma’s 30 member group, another 30-member group of industrialists will be onboard the first Chandigarh – Sharjah Air India plane.
It is understood that only prominent personalities will have the privilege to travel on this maiden Chandigarh Sharjah flight. But there are some who actually got lucky and were able to secure a seat in the plane at discounted rates.
All these delegation members will meet the ruling family of Dubai and will thus return on 17th September by the same Air India flight from Sharjah to Chandigarh. Total travel time of the flight is just 3 hours and 30 minutes.
