Chandigarh to Panchkula: Diversion for 2 hours to Ease Traffic | Check New Routes

Chandigarh Traffic Police has rolled diversions at in between Chandigarh-Panchkula especially at Madhya Marg during peak hours. From Today onwards, people travelling between Chandigarh- Panchkula has to use diversion roads 2-2 hours in the morning as well as evening. Although the step has been taken to ease the traffic chaos at Madhya Marg till Housing Board during peak hours.

People travelling to and fro between Chandigarh and Panchkula will now have to follow diverted routes. Chandigarh Traffic Police have also released the diverted routes during morning and evening hours from Tuesday onwards. Check more details regarding the same below.

Here’s the New traffic Diversion between Chandigarh-Panchkula route

Motorist travelling from Chandigarh to Panchkula will not be allowed to enter between the grain market and Housing Board, as the traffic will be diverted towards St. Kabir School. People who want to go to Panchkula will be diverted to St Kabir School road from Grain market roundabout and then they can enter Panchkula via IT Park road. Whereas these diversions will be carried out in morning time from 8.30 to 10.30 am and at evening time from 5 to 7 Pm.

Whereas motorist travelling from Panchkula to Chandigarh will have to take a diversion from railway light point towards CTU Workshop and then Industrial area and Sector 29. Although no motorist will be allowed to take road between Railway light point to Grain Market Roundabout during rush hours. Also, Manimajra residents will not be able to touch Kalagram lights during peak hours.

With these new diversions, it has been expected that people may face traffic congestion between railway light points to CTU Workshop, as its a narrow lane. Also the road from Railway light points to IT Park will be blocked for motorists. Even 80 traffic cops will be deployed to watch out the smooth running of vehicles and help people to choose the correct route.

As of now during the rush hours, Madhya Marg faces huge traffic chaos especially from Grain market to Housing Board. Whereas to reduce the traffic chaos in between these points, Chandigarh Traffic Police has diverted the traffic towards new routes.
