The clean and green city of India, Chandigarh is all set to experience the ultimate ‘Bicycle ExCon 2016’. CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) along with All India Cycle Manufacturers Association (AICMA) and the Government of Punjab is going to organise the first ‘Bicycle ExCon 2016’ in Chandigarh. The 2 day Bicycle ExCon will witness participation from 13 different nations and leading figures of the bicycle industry. The aim of ‘Bicycle ExCon 2016’ is to promote the vision of bicycle industry in Asia Pacific region.

2nd Day (9th December): After the showcasing various updated technologies in Chandigarh on the 1st day of Bicycle ExCon 2016. The 2nd will be in the name of ‘Cyclothon’, that has been organised by CII in collaboration with Chandigarh Administration. The main attraction the 2nd day will be-
- Budding and enthusiastic cyclists of all age group will pedal in ‘Cyclothon’.
- To spread the message of peaceful, healthy, cleaner and greener planet.
Apart from Cyclothon and the Exhibition, the 2 day event will also have a conference on various issues faced by the Bicycle industry.
Who All will be the participants?
CII has organised the Bicycle ExCon 2016 to explore the areas of mutual business opportunities in assembling, manufacturing, infrastructure and other aspects of the cycle industry. The event will feature the participation of-
- Members of Asian Bicycle Alliance (ABA) and SAARC.
- More than 60 foreign delegates from 13 countries, including Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Russia, Germany and so on.
- Representative members of China Bicycle Association, Jordan Cycling Association, Bangladesh Bicycling Association and much more.
The city beautiful Chandigarh has been the first city to implement first of its kind initiative to construct cycling track in Sector 26 for all the cycle lovers. With ‘Bicycle ExCon 2016’, we can assume that Chandigarh will experience the increase in numbers of cycling lovers in the city.
