Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will start giving digital marksheet and certificates to those who had appeared in class 10th and 12th board examination from this year.
The CISCE is now all set to give access to all the students who had appeared in their board examinations this year to get their marksheets, passing certificates, migration certificates and transfer certificates any time or anywhere in the world. It will be like accessing your social media account from your computer or from your mobile phone by entering just a user ID and a password.
About digital marksheet by ICSE Board
As per the ‘Digital India initiative’ started by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, ISCE and ISC board will now upload the mark sheets and certificates of the students on digilocker.gov.in. All the documents uploaded on this website will be digitally signed by the CISCE council chief and will be stored in a separate file for every individual. Now students will not have to store the hard copy of their marksheets and certificates of their board exam results as they can see and present it from any part of the earth without any hassles. These digital certificates and marksheets will be valid at the time of seeking admissions for further studies and or getting the job.
What is Digilocker and how it works
Digilocker.gov.in is a government administered website to keep all the records of the important documents of any organisation or council. It is one dedicated personal electronic space offered by the government of India to store data on its cloud system. To get an access on digilocker, the candidates will have to get registered by their mobile number only by creating an account on digilocker.gov.in. Candidates will have to further follow the steps as directed on the CISCE website.
However, the board will soon announce the results of ICSE and ISC Exams that were held in March and April this year. Earlier, there were rumours that the ICSE and ISC results 2017 will be declared on May 15 but in a statement, the CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary have cleared that the checking of the papers are ongoing and the council will soon come out with results. He had also mentioned that the results for class 10th and 12th will be announced on the same day and the date for result dedclaration will only be confirmed just 48 hours before. He has even asked the students to check the results only on the official website cisce.org and do not go by the rumours.
