Yesterday, we published a news story titled Mountview – Chandigarh’s 1st 5-Star Hotel Loses its 5-Star Status | Here’s Why and also shared it on our Facebook page – Chandigarh – My City, My Pride!
After reading the story, an official from the PR Department of Chandigarh Administration called on our phone number and clarified that Hotel Mountview had not lost its 5 star status. According to the information provided to us, it was stated that the the 5 star status was under review by the Ministry of Tourism. Chandigarh Administration had submitted an application after completing all requirements on 6th May, 2015.
As of now, Hotel Mountview is awaiting inspection from the authorities and once the 5-star status is renewed, it would be applicable from August, 2015.
