The Education Board of Chandigarh has initiated the admission process for Class 11th in its Government Schools and has released the common admission counselling schedule. The students applying for Class 11 admission can collect the prospectus and registration forms from the schools itself that will be available at 8 government senior secondary schools from June 10th. The admission process will continue till June 31st.
The UT education department has started taking the admission forms even before the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) has announced its 2017 10th Board Results. If a few number of seats in the schools remain unoccupied then the schools will continue accepting admission applications till August 25th 2017.

Important Info Regarding Class 11 2017 Admissions
Before filling the admission forms for Class 11 2017 session in the government schools students are requested to know some important points of information that the Chandigarh Education Board has declared that will help them further in the admission process. Some of the things that they need to know are:
The Merit List
- Student’s total grades in all five subjects to be opted in Class 11 will be taken into consideration
- Position in the merit list will confirm students seats
- Position will be decided on the basis of tie points,school’s preference,
- And, availability of seats in a particular stream
Admission Charges
- For Male students
- Science stream- Rs 1,500 for six months
- Commerce/Arts/Vocational stream- Rs 1,300 for six months
- For Female candidates
- Science stream- Rs 1,200-six months
- Commerce/Arts/Vocational- Rs 1,000- six months
- For SC candidates
- Science stream- Rs 700- six months
- Commerce/Arts/Vocational- Rs 600-six months

- Last date for submitting all the registration details- June 20 till 1 pm
- Display of Common Merit list for verification- June 27 at 4 pm
