CSIR UGC NET 2018 (Dec) Online Application Process Starts For Jr Research Fellowship (JRF) & Lectureship (LS)

CSIR UGC NET 2018: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) released the official notification for the CSIR UGC NET December 2018 exam a few days back and now the CSIR has started the process of filling the application form. All the candidates who are preparing for the CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) can check the official notification and apply online on the official website.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Exam – Important Dates

The online application process for the CSIR UGC NET for JRF and LS has started from 25th September 2018. As per the official notification, the last date to fill the application form for the CSIR UGC NET 2018 December exam is 15th October 2018. Candidates are advised to complete the process of submission of application on or before the last date.

The CSIR will release the admit cards for the exam in the month of December. The tentative exam date for the CSIR NET exam for JRF and Lectureship is 16th December. As of now, there are no details regarding the result date of the CSIR NET exam December 2018.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Exam – Other Details

The application fee for the General Category candidates is Rs 1000. The candidates of OBC Category will have to pay Rs 500 as application fee for the CSIR Joint UGC Test for JRF and LS. Candidates belonging to the  SC/ST/PH category will have to pay Rs 250 as application fee. Candidates applying for the exam can pay the application fee by Credit card, debit card, Net Banking or via E-Challan.

For the post of JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) under UGC NET, the age limit is 28 years. For the LS (Lectureship), there is no upper age limit. OBC Category candidates will get 3 years age relaxation while the female candidates and other category candidates except the General category will get 5 years age relaxation.

There will be two sessions for the exam. In the morning session, the CSIR will conduct the test in the subjects Life Sciences and Physical Sciences and in the afternoon session, the exam in the subjects Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Ocean, Planetary and Earth Sciences will be conducted.
