CSIR UGC NET 2018 Exam Scheme For JRF & Lectureship | Admit Cards To Be Out In First Week of June

CSIR UGC NET: On March 5th, the online application process for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship started and the application process closed on 26th March 2018. CSIR UGC NET exam is for the JRF and Eligibility for Lectureship. Council of Scientific and Industrial Reseach (CSIR) will conduct the online exam to select candidates for the post of JRF and Lectureship. The online exam will be conducted in the month of June. CSIR UGC NET Exam 2018 Date & Scheme of Test

The Single Paper for CSIR UGC NET is tentatively scheduled to be held on 17th June 2018. It will be an MCQ based test of 200 marks. The subjects included in the test are Life Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Mathematical Sciences. There will two sessions for the exam. The morning session will begin from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session will begin from 2 pm to 5 pm. The duration of the test will be 3 hours

The question paper for the CSIR UGC NET exam 2018 will have three parts (A, B & C). These parts will have questions as per the syllabus. The Part A will have questions from General Aptitude, logical reasoning, numerical ability, series formation, puzzles and graphical analysis. This part will be common to all subjects. The Part B will have subject related questions. These questions generally cover the topics of the syllabus.

Part C of the CSIR UGC NET exam 2018 will have higher value questions. These questions will test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts. For every wrong answer, there will be negative marking. In case if a question is found wrong then the benefit will only be given to all those candidates who attempt the question.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Exam – Important Instructions

Before the 3 hours candidates will not be able to leave the exam. The morning session candidates will not be able to leave the examination hall before 12 noon and afternoon session candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before 5 pm. Candidates can take the question booklet with them after the end of 3 hours. Only black pen is allowed to fill the OMR sheets of the paper. For more details check the official notification.
