CTET 2018: CBSE, the Central Board of Secondary Education the conducting authority of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test has started the online application process for the 2018 CTET exam. The candidates can now apply online on the official website of CTET for the exam for 2018. CTET 2018 Examination Pattern & Standard Of Questions
All the questions in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be MCQ type questions. Each question of the CTET Paper will have 4 options and candidates will have to choose the correct answer. Candidates are advised to attempt all the questions in the paper as there will no negative marking in the examination. The CTET exam is conducted in two papers – CTET Paper 1 & CTET Paper 2.
The Paper 1 of the CTET is for the candidates who intents to be a teacher for the 1st to 5th class while the Paper 2 of the CTET exam is for the candidates who intents to be a teacher of Class 6th to 8th. Candidates can also give both papers or any of one paper. The candidates who want to be a teacher for both levels will have to appear for both papers.
The Paper 1 of the CTET will have total 150 questions and the maximum marks will be 150 marks. These questions in the Paper 1 of the CTET exam will be from Child Development and Pedagogy, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Language 1 and Langauge 2. Each section will have total 30 questions of 30 marks. The Language 1 paper will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of the instruction and the Language Paper 2 will focus on the elements of comprehension, language and abilities.
The CTET Paper 2 will have 150 questions of 150 marks. These questions will be for Child Development & Pedagogy (30 questions of 30 marks), Language 1 (30 questions of 30 marks), Langauge 2 (30 questions of 30 marks), Mathematics & Science (60 questions of 60 marks) and Social Studies/Social Science (60 questions of 60 marks). Child Development & Pedagogy, Language 1 and Language 2 section of the CTET Paper 2 are compulsory.
The process of filling the application form for the CTET exam has started on the official website. Candidates can fill the application form now. The application fee for the Paper 1 or Paper 2 of CTET is Rs.700 for the General and OBC and Rs.350 for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates. For both the papers of CTET, the application fee is Rs.1200 for General and OBC Category and Rs.600 for the SC/ST category.
