Automaker Datsun India is all set to launch the AMT (automated manual transmission) version of its popular entry-level hatchback, redi-GO. According to the report, Datsun will unveil the Automatic version of the Datsun redi-GO in January. The company had recently launched the 1.0-litre version of the Datsun redi-GO and now it’s all set to launch the automated manual transmission (AMT) version of the entry-level hatchback.

Datsun India has recently made an announcement that it will be launching the AMT version of the Datsun redi-GO, its entry-level hatchback. The company has also revealed that it will be launching the new version of the Datsun hatchback in January next year.
Launched in India in 2016, the Datsun redi-GO had been a successful model from the automaker. Datsun initially launched with the car with a smaller engine while the bigger 1.0-litre version of Datsun redi-GO was launched in India in this year in July.

After the unveiling of the 1.0-litre version of the Datsun redi-GO, it was being speculated that the automaker will soon launch the AMT version of the entry-level hatchback soon. The company has not yet officially announced a launch date of the AMT version of the Datsun redi-GO yet, but speculations are that the automaker will launch the new version of the hatchback in January 2018.
Specifications of the Datsun redi-GO AMT version
Datsun redi-GO AMT is likely to come with the 1.0-litre engine. The 999 cc iSAT engine will produce 67 bhp of power and 91 Nm of peak torque. The automatic version of the hatchback will come mated to a 5-speed AMT gearbox while the manual version will continue with the same 5-speed manual transmission.
There may not be many cosmetic changes on the Datsun redi-GO Automatic. most of the features will remain same as the existing model. The new version will come with LED DRLs, sporty red accents for the seats, all-black cabin. For an attractive appeal silver finish has been added on the AC vents as well as on the horn pad. The option of driver side airbag will be offered on the top-end trim of the Datsun redi-GO AMT.
