Delhi University (DU) Admission 2018 | 3 Lakh Students Register for 55,000 Seats in Various Colleges

The University of Delhi (DU) admission process for the year 2018 has started for Undergraduate courses and the first cut off will be out soon. DU closed the registration process for the admission of 2018 Undergraduate course on 7 June only. Now the first cut-off of Delhi University is expected by the applicants for admission purpose, that is to be out on 19 June 2018.

Although the registration process for the admission in DU has been closed, but the number of applications received for the year 2018 is just shocking. As per reports, more than 3 Lakh students have registered for 55,000 UG seats in Delhi University.

DU Registration 2018 Closed: More than 3 Lakh Students Registered for 55000 seats

University of Delhi began the registration process for the admission for the year 2018 in the month of May and ended it on 7th June. Before to the cut-off only, almost 3.38 Lakh students have already registered for just 55,000 UG courses seats in the various colleges of DU for both merit-based and entrance test based admission. Most of the aspirants applied for the UG courses admission are from Delhi, UP, Bihar & Jharkhand. Out of the total 3.38 Lakh students, 1.53 Lakh is the male candidates and 1.35 Lakh are the female candidates.

Last year, the number of registered candidates for the Delhi University admission was almost 3.3 Lakh. Although the same has already exceeded for the new session to be started in DU for the year 2018.

More Important Information for University of Delhi (DU) Admission 2018

As far as the cut-off dates of Delhi University are concerned, the first cut off list for the UG admission will be released on 19 June 2018. Whereas the last and final cut of list of University of Delhi for 2018 admission purpose will be out on 12 July 2018 depending upon the availability of the seats. Students will be given 3 days of time for the admission and document verification after the declaration of the cut-off list by DU affiliated colleges. After 19 June, Delhi University will announce cut-off lists on- 25 June, 30 June, 6 July & 12 July for the year 2018.
