The Great Initiative at Chandigarh Dog Show

It has always been a misconception that a dog show involves cruelty and it requires dogs to do tricks by their owners. But in reality, these shows simply compare the ideal features of their breeds and prove to be an entertaining activity for viewers. Along with various participating dogs, the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) had also put up a stall for stray animals, who were up for adoption. The stall urged people to adopt dogs rather than buying.

All in all the Chandigarh Dog show at leisure valley was a great event, that not only saw participation from the different breed of dogs but also taught the people of Chandigarh to adopt a stray dog rather than buying one. We hope this kind of initiative should be promoted all over India so that a lonely animal can get a caring home.
