DU Begins Sports Trial for UG Courses Admission Under Sports Quota| Here’s the Complete Schedule

Delhi University (DU) is a buzz these days due it’s ongoing admission process and very high cut off list. DU is one of the prestigious educational institutes of India that offers studies for almost every undergraduate and postgraduate course. Apparently, Delhi University has begun its sports trial along with other admission procedure for those who seek enrollment in the undergraduate course under sports quota.

The sports trial for students have begun for DU admission under from sports quota and will end on July 6. Once the sports trial is finished, on the basis of the performances, Delhi University will issue a merit list of the shortlisted candidates for admission in undergraduate courses.

Schedule & venue for sports trial at DU for admission

Here is the schedule of the sports trial for admission in Delhi University.

The trials started with football (men), basketball (men), volleyball (women) and judo (women and men) on day one yesterday while athletics (women and men), cross country (women and men), boxing (women and men), canoeing, kayaking and rowing (women and men), cricket (women), hockey (women) and shooting (men) are scheduled for today.

On June 29, Badminton (Men) is scheduled for 7:30 am at Multipurpose Hall, Sports Complex, DU

On June 30, Diving (Men & Women) Swimming (Men & Women) is scheduled for 9:30 am at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Swimming Pool Complex, Talkatora Garden, Delhi

Hockey (Men) is scheduled for 7 am at Shyam Lal College, G.T.Road, Shahdara, Delhi

On July 1, Baseball (Men & Women) is scheduled for 7 am at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Yamuna Vihar, Delhi

Basketball (Women) is scheduled for 8:30 am at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Lajpat Nagar-IV, Delhi

Cricket (Men) is scheduled for 7 am at SGTB Khalsa College, DU

On July 3, Badminton (Women) is scheduled for 7:30 am at Multipurpose Hall, Sports Complex, DU

Gymnastics (Men & Women) is scheduled for 7:30 am at Gymnastic Hall, Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya No-1, Subhash Nagar, Delhi

Kabaddi (Men) is scheduled for 7:30 am at Satyawati College, Ashok Vihar Phase-III, Delhi

On July 4, Archery (Men & Women) is scheduled for 8 am at Hansraj College, DU

Body Building(Men), Power Lifting (Men & Women), Weight Lifting (Men & Women) are scheduled for 8 am atRamanujan College, Kalkaji, Delhi

Chess (Men & Women) is scheduled for 8 am at Sri Venkateswara College, Benito Juarez Road, Delhi

Fencing (Women) is scheduled for 8:30 am at Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi

Football (Women) is scheduled for 7:30 am at Janki Devi Memorial College, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi

On July 5, Ball Badminton (Men & Women) is scheduled for 8 am at Swami Shraddhanand College, Alipur, Delhi

Handball (Women) is scheduled for 8 am atRugb y Stadium, Sports Complex, DU

Kabaddi (Women) is scheduled for 8 am at Kalindi College, East Patel Nagar, New Delhi

Kho-Kho (Men & Women) is scheduled for 8 am at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College, Road No.57, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi

On July 6, Handball (Men) is scheduled for 8 am at Rugby Stadium, Sports Complex, DU

Korfball (Men & Women) is scheduled for 8:30 am at Venue: Kirori Mal College, DU

Documents required for sports trial at Delhi University admission process

Regarding the sports trial for Delhi University admission, this year no additional scores will be given to the candidates who have been playing same tournaments from the last three years. However, candidates seeking admission in the sports quota in DU-affiliated colleges will have to bring the printed copy of their application form during the sports trial.

The reporting time for the candidates for sports trial is 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time at the venue. For sports including badminton, baseball, chess, hockey, softball, hockey, squash, shooting, table tennis, tennis etc,  students will have to bring their own sports kit.

More details about DU admissions under sports quota 

Candidates who have represented India at the international platforms including Olympics, World Championships, World Cup, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Asian Championships, South Asian Games or in Paralympic Games will be eligible for direct admission in Delhi University. In fact, 10 students have already got enrolled in Delhi University under sports quota.
