41% Students Failed Class 12th Exams (2016) in Panchkula

The district of Panchkula in Haryana has performed so poor in 12th class results that over 41% students have failed in their 12th board exams. Haryana Education Board announced the result for 12h class on 18th May 2016 and district Panchkula has ranked 6th from bottom in the pass percentage. Only 59% of total students who appeared for Haryana Board 12th exams have passed.

The news of poor result in Panchkula has not just brought shame to this district but also a question mark on the teaching practice being carried out in Panchkula. Taking into consideration all 4 streams of 12th – Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce & Arts, not even a single stream has performed satisfactorily.

Talking about Haryana on a whole, the pass percentage in the state has been 59% this year which is about 2% better than previous year. Sonipat ranks on the top with 77.5% pass percentage in 12th board exams. Faridabad ranks last with just 43% pass percentage.

There is something wrong in Haryana’s education system or something wrong with the examination board. Whatever it maybe, things need to be taken care of as it is affecting the future of our country on a whole.
