Chandigarh International Airport has always been in news since its inauguration that was in September 2015. A lot of new additions have come up at the airport but one essential feature that was missing was wi-fi access. According to the new addition, Chandigarh International Airport will soon get the Wi-Fi facility in its premises. BSNL has authorised by AAI to install the Wi-Fi facility in the Airport. Currently, Chandigarh International Airport misses the facility of Wi- Fi in its new terminal.

Wifi in Chandigarh International Airport
With the passing days, there have been a lot of improvement in Chandigarh International Airport. But still, the airport lacks behind in some basic facilities. Chandigarh International airport authority along with AAI is trying to provide the basic facilities in the airport. Starting with Wi-Fi facility, the work for the same has been sanctioned to BSNL by AAI and soon the facility of Wi-Fi will be enabled in the Chandigarh International Airport as per the AAI.
Some more facilities and flights
Mr. Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Chandigarh International airport in 2015 and the flight have been taken off on September 2016 from Chandigarh International Airport. And day by day more and more flights have been adding to the list to take off from Chandigarh to different destinations. And the number of travellers are also increasing who are travelling to different locations from Chandigarh.
- State Bank of India (SBI) will also put ATM in the departure area of the airport.
- New domestic flights from Chandigarh to Jaipur, Chennai & Hyderabad will be starting soon.
- Air India to launch flight to Bangkok from Chandigarh.
- A flight to Singapore will also take off soon from the Chandigarh International Airport.
Till now 2 International flights are taking off daily from Chandigarh International Airport, with these new facilities we hope that the number of passenger sand flights will also increase from the airport. Airport also misses the facility like food and beverages outlets and CIP (Commercially Important Person) lounge, but we expect these all missing facility will be redeemed in the airport soon.
