Panic grips Mohali after Firing incident in the market

Panic prevailed in the busy 3B2 market in Mohali after two youths allegedly opened fire in the afternoon in front of an eating joint. According to the report, 2 youths opened fire outside a fast food restaurant in phase 3B2 Mohali market that spread panic in the vicinity. The youths fled the spot after the firing incident and no arrests have been made so far in the case.

Panic grips Mohali with the firing incident in the busy market

Panic gripped shopkeepers, consumers and passersby in the busy Phase 3B2 market in Mohali after two youths opened fire in front of a fast-food joint in the market around 12.30 pm. It has been further mentioned in the report the youth fired the shots in the air with the gun/ pistol and no casualties were reported.

Panic gripped not only the consumers and shopkeepers in the market but it also left the nearby residents in Mohali in a state of shock. The incident took place on Thursday in Mohali but the reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Why were the shots fired in air?

The reason behind firing the shots in the air has not been determined yet. As per the report, the youth’s came to the market in a Hyundai i20 car and fled the spot after firing in the air. One of the youths fired a single shot in the air and both fled the market. The police are yet to establish the identity of the youths and their intention behind the firing incident. The police also could not find out whether a pistol or a gun was used to fire the shot. The only clue that the police has received till now is, that the Hyundai i20 car bears a Uttar Pradesh (UP) registration number.

Surprisingly the bullet shell was not found?

The police did not find the bullet shell near the spot where the firing incident took place in Mohali’s 3B2 market. The police are scanning the CCTV camera footages to trace the car and the youths. One of the customers noted the registration number of the speeding car and the Police have recorded statements of the eye-witnesses which might assist the investigating team in cracking the case.
