Kullu Manali in Himachal Pradesh has now become a mere 40 minute journey from Chandigarh. All thanks to a private airlines named Himalyan Bulls who have started a flight from Chandigarh Airport to Bhuntar (near Kullu). Himalayan Bulls is in association with Deccan Charter for these flight operations.
The aeroplane
The plane used by Himalyan Bulls is a Cessna Grand-208B aircraft. It is a small 8 seater plane which has a length of 12.6 metre with a wing span of 15.8 metre. It has a 3-bladed Hartzell variable pitch propeller at the front. The cruse speed of this plane is 317 Km/h and it can climb at the rate of 3.9 m/s.
Air Fare from Chandigarh to Kullu
One way travel between Chandigarh and Kullu will cost you Rs. 5825 / person for the first 3 seats. The remaining 5 seats will cost you Rs. 6949 / person for one way trip.
Tickets can be booked from counter number 7 at Chandigarh Airport and from Kullu Airport as well.
Chandigarh Kullu Flight Schedule
Himalyan Bulls will have 2 flights a day connecting Chandigarh and Kullu Manali by air.
The first flight departure time from Chandigarh is 11:50 AM.
The second flight from Chandigarh Airport will take off at 1:30 PM.
While returning, the plane will take off from Kullu airport at 11:00 AM and then at 12:40 PM.
The total travel time of the plane is just 40 minutes.
Himachal Tourism had raised the issue of poor air connectivity to the state which has raised hopes of more such charted flights. With the help of this plane, tourists can now reach Kullu Manali from Chandigarh in just 40 minutes. No doubt, they will have to spend a little extra for the air fare as compared to bus or taxi fare.
