Ford Freestyle Might Be Cheaper Than its Competition | Check Price & Launch Details

Since the Ford Freestyle will be introduced below the Ecosport, we believe it will take on the likes of Hyundai i20 Active and Toyota Etios Cross

Ford Freestyle launch is days away from now and the car has already managed to generate quite a hype before hitting the Indian roads. Surprisingly the first set of reviews from credible Auto portals are also out and boy are they impressed. Initially the experts were speculating it to be a direct rival to the Honda WR-V but we have a reason to believe why the Ford Freestyle will be cheaper than the former.

Apparently, in an interview with a major network, Ford officials claimed the Freestyle launch was aimed to bridge the gap between the Figo and the Ecosport. Since the Ecosport starts somewhere near 7.76 Lakh Rupees in India, the Freestyle is expected to be priced way below that.

What Will Be The Competition For Ford Freestyle Then?

Well since the Honda WR-V is clearly not the competition, the Ford Freestyle will take on the likes of Hyundai i20 Active and the Etios Cross. These are based on their younger cars which have been doing tremendously well in the hatchback segment. But again the cars do not offer a package worth the premium and all that they offer is black cladding and a higher ground clearance. Ford Freestyle too will be based completely on the Ford Figo hatchback but intends to offer more than just a butcher looking design.

Since it is a Ford through and through, the safety features are among the best in the competition. Ford Freestyle with the top end variants will come with as much as six airbags, follow me home headlamps, anti-glare rear view mirror, and rear wash and wipe function. However, the true DNA of the Ford Freestyle lies in features like emergency assist system, hill start assist, ESP and even traction control which definitely makes it a better buy than the competition.

Ford Freestyle Price in India

The Ford Freestyle is hitting the Indian roads sometime very soon and will come with a price tag lower than that of the Honda WR-V. Since the prices of the Toyota Etios Cross and Hyundai i20 Active start roughly around 6.41 Lakhs, we expect Ford to offer the Freestyle at a price closer to Rupees 6.80 Lakhs in India or maybe even lower.
