Four-Day Interior Exterior Expo A Treat For City Residents

A four- days INT-EXT EXPO 2017, an exclusive interior and exteriors expo took off at Parade Ground in Sector 17 here today. The expo offers a treat for those who are looking for refurbishing the interiors of their homes and offices. The exhibition was today inaugurated by Arshdeep Singh Thind, Director, Industries, Punjab cum Special Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Punjab.

The exhibition also has a variety of products for new homes like water storage tanks, doors, kitchen fittings, cabinets and wallpapers to name a few. More than 200 exhibitors are participating in the expo presenting latest interior trends along with the technology, concepts, innovations and equipment for the Architects & Designers’ community. Entry to the exhibition is free of cost and it is first of its kind exhibition in the city after 5 years.

It is being held in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Architects, supported by Mohali Industries Association and Mohali Hi-Tech Metal Cluster.

Attraction at the Expo

G.S. Dhillon, Director Udan Media and Communications Pvt. Ltd, organiser of this event informed that the products being showcased include luxurious home needs and interiors, imported home and office furniture, home automation, designer fans, ethnic and carved furniture, decorative lamps and lights, modular kitchens, cutlery and crockery, pots and aquariums, handicrafts, murals, glass paintings, blinds, artifacts bunker beds and decorative items, chimneys and hobs, rugs and carpets, massage chairs, health equipment, 3D holographic sculptures, home furnishings and decoratives, carved wooden doors, artificial gardens, UPS, garden furniture, landscaping, upholstery, frames and paintings, etc.

Among the major attractions is designer furniture from Rohit Khurana Designs from Delhi. His productions are unique as most of them are made using horn bone. His productions are all high-end with sofa per set to even tables starting from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 80,000.

Mohali-based, Aditya Tikoo has brought in living wall plantation system if you are interested in opting methods for growing, covering vertical surfaces of a building, structure or any kind of wall by growing plants/ climbers from the ground or the wall itself by using planters and modules. A major draw at the expo on the first day was furniture made of recycled Paper Mache, from Jaipur ranging from Rs. 1600 to 4000.

Exquisite wall art is sure to fascinate you with stalls offering genuine old and modern art objects and are sure to impress and offers great collection for homes, offices, hotels and apartments. A variety of lighting solutions is also available like wall lights, hanging lights and chandeliers.

Architect Surinder Bahga, former chairman of Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Chandigarh-Punjab Chapter, which is a partner in the expo, said, the objective of the expo is to provide products that are trending in the interiors and exteriors market all under one roof. He added: “The show will cater to the needs of architects and designer artists, builders, corporate houses, Vastu consultants, educational institutions, etc.”
