Post Graduate Government College for Girls located in Sector 11 Chandigarh has introduced 7 new courses on the campus from this session. And the applications are also invited by the students to avail the studies of new courses in college in 2017.
- Fashion Designing as an elective subject.
- Masters in fine arts (20 seats)
- MCom (40 seats)
- MSc in IT/ Music (instrumental) as an honours subject.
- BSc (honours) in Chemistry/ Physics.
- PhD in Music (Vocal & Instrumental)/ Chemistry/ Dance.
GCG 11 will be the first college in Chandigarh to offer PhD in music, chemistry and dance. GCG 11 offer 800 seats for BA courses, whereas 140 each for BSc (Medical & non-medical). For BCom, GCG Sector 11 Chandigarh have 140 seats. And in MSc it provides 20 seats each in Botany, Chemistry and Zoology.

GCG (Govt. College for Girls) located in Sector 11 Chandigarh also provide hostel facility to the students with 3 hostels that can accommodate 550 students at a time.
