GMCH 32 Chandigarh To Offer 100 MBBS Seats For 2017 Session

Here comes the joyful new for all the aspirants of MBBS in Chandigarh. Government Medical College and Hospital located in Sector 32 Chandigarh has retained 100 number of seats for the upcoming session of MBBS in 2017. GMCH 32 has received a confirmation letter from the health ministry regarding the renewal of the seats. Medical Council of India (MCI) and the health ministry together has given a green signal for retaining the 100 MBBS seats to GMCH 32, Chandigarh. It was expected that the seats will be reduced for coming session in the year 2017, but putting all the rumours aside GMCH authorities have confirmed the same.

Admission in GMCH 32, Chandigarh

MBBS aspirants of Chandigarh, always dream to get admission in GMCH 32. But there has been tough competition for the few number of seats in the college. GMCH only considers admission from those candidates who have made it to the merit list of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam.

  • Admission forms can be downloaded from the official site of GMCH 32 in Chandigarh
  • Admission process starts in the month of August for the college.
  • An amount of admission fee also has to be submitted with the form.
  • After the scrutiny of the application, GMCH 32 display the merit list for the admission.

At the time of counselling, the candidate has to show the documents as mentioned in the prospectus of the college.

Highlights to retain 100 seats

In the year 2013, MCI has enhanced the number of seats 50 to 100 and till now the college has maintained the same number of seats. In the year 2016, a team of MCI visited GMCH 32 and recommended the Central Govt not to increase the intake number of MBBS seats. Another team of MCI is expected to visit the college in Chandigarh in 2017 and it is expected that for next session GMCH 32 Chandigarh may increase the number of intake for MBBS course.

As of now, the aspirants may get a relief that neither the number has fallen down nor it has been increased for GMCH 32 for the coming session.
