Google finally took the sheets off the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones after it was leaked in numerous times on the web. Google which is responsible for the rise of smartphones courtesy its OS Android, recently stirred up things in the hardware side as well. Google Nexus devices died and gave birth to the Google Pixel 2 devices. Last year Google introduced with two different sized Pixel smartphones and it was high time they got an update with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

What we liked about Google Pixel 2 And Pixel 2 XL:

The highlight of the last year’s Google Pixel devices was the built in Google Assistant and this year Google took it a notch further with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The Google Assistant can now be accessed by squeezing the side if the screen with your palm and can also help you find a song in the background right from the lock screen.

The camera brings a couple of smart features and we are glad that Google didn’t blindly add the extra rear camera. The single lens can add the motion blur that the dual camera phones claim by both the rear and front cameras.

What we didn’t like about the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL:

The most disliked part of the last year’s Pixel devices was the design and we can’t digest the fact that it remains the same with the new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The smaller Pixel gets an extremely large chin on the top and bottom according to 2017 standard. The larger Google Pixel 2 XL has fat bezels on the sides.

The Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL also miss out on wireless charging.

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL launch and price in India:

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were launched at an event yesterday and according to Google, India will be one of the first countries to get the device. The device will be available at all major offline stores in the country. India’s major e-commerce website Flipkart will exclusively sell the new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices online. The price of the phone in India starts from 61000INR for the smaller Pixel 64GB and goes all the way up to 82000INR for the larger Google Pixel 2 XL 128GB variant. These prices are significantly higher than the starting price of $649 in the U.S.
