During his visit to the city beautiful Chandigarh, Canada’s Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan inaugurated a new office of Consulate General of Canada in Elante. The very first Sikh Defence Minister of Canada was on the tour of India and on the visit of Chandigarh he gifted Chandigarhian with the new office of Consulate General of Canada. The new office of the same has been located in the office complex of Elante mall. Now the people of Chandigarh, who are aiming to fly to Canada have to go to Elante for any assistance.
Services to be offered in New office
The newly inaugurated office of the Canadian Consulate General, located in Elante offers various services. Earlier the people have to head towards Sector 17 for the same purpose because earlier the office was in Sector 17. But from now onwards, Chandigarhians have to visit Elante office complex for the same.

Harjit Sajjan and his India tour
Harjit Sajjan, who is the first Punjab-born Sikh to hold such a top post in a foreign country has planned 7 days tour in India. During his 7 days of India tour, he meets the Finance Minister of India Arun Jaitley in New Delhi. And then headed towards Amritsar to pay obeisances in the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib). After which he arrived in Chandigarh, where he inaugurated the new office of Canadian Consulate General in Elante office complex. Further, he met Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr, Manohar Lal Khattar at Chandigarh Airport.
