In Haryana, yet another rape case has been reported and this time it happened in Kurukshetra district of Haryana. In this incident, according to sources, cops refused to pay heed to the complaint by the accused. The number of rape cases are increasing despite the strict laws and punishments.
Teenager Gang-Raped On A Moving Train in Haryana
On Monday night, a 19-year-old girl was gang-raped by two men on a moving train. The teenager was not helped by the Kurukshetra government railway police. The cops on duty on the moving train did not pay heed to the teenager’s complaint and instead of helping the girl, they put her on the Delhi train from Haryana.
It is really shameful that the police who are supposed to help the people are not even listening to a rape victim’s complaint.
Kurukshetra Police Refused To Listen To The Rape Victim
The Kurukshetra Government Railway Police in Haryana refused to listen to the rape victim’s complaint. The teenager asked for help from the New Delhi police on reaching the New Delhi railway station on Tuesday. The cops at the New Delhi railway station took the teenager to Faridabad’s GRP police station. A zero FIR was registered at the Faridabad’s GRP police station in Haryana and the rape case was transferred to Kurukshetra.
The GRP SP said that this is annoying on the part of cops who were on duty at the Kurukshetra police post at Haryana. He said that he and his team have started investigating the gang rape case and have also registered a FIR against the cops for their shameful act. He made sure that his team would be identifying the cops who were on duty and would later ask the teenager to identify the cops who refused to look into her complaint. The SP said that the Faridabad team had got the teenager medically examined.
How The Incident Happened
The 19-year-old girl was returning from Vaishno Devi, Jammu and Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula, Haryana. The teenager alighted from the train at Karnal in Haryana at around 2:45 am. After that, she boarded an electric multiple unit train.
The SHO of Faridabad GRP police said that the teenager complained that two men took her to an empty bogie and started abusing, threatening her. The SHO further added that they got to know about the shameful act of Kurukshetra cops after they interacted with the teenager.
