
Haryana has witnessed another suicide case and this time it’s a cop who committed suicide at the Murthal police station. An ASI (assistant sub-inspector) with the Sonepat police committed suicide on Wednesday morning at the Murthal police station.
Virender Rose, an ASI and a resident of Rohtak committed suicide on Wednesday morning. Virender was upset because he was sent to police lines unfairly. Before committing suicide, Virender posted a suicide note on his Facebook account.
ASI Commits Suicide At Murthal Police Station
Virender Rose, a 52-year-old ASI with the Sonipat police committed suicide at Murthal police. Virender was posted at the Murthal police station about 9 months ago.
Virender Rose posted his suicide note on his Facebook profile where he mentioned the reason for his suicide. He mentioned the reason he committed suicide was because he wasn’t getting justice from Ashwin Shenvi, the Sonepat SP. Virender Rose was transferred to police lines and an inquiry against him was initiated.
Virender Rose had registered a case few days back against the brother of Vimal Kishore, former councillor for which Vimal complained against Virender to the Sonepat SP.
ASI’s Suicide Note Posted On Facebook
Virender posted a suicide note on Facebook, he wrote that he had explained everything to the Sonepat SP but did not get justice. Virender also blamed former councillor and another man Rahul for harassing him.
A case has been registered against the two people mentioned in the suicide note posted on Facebook. The police have also started their investigation.
How The ASI Committed Suicide
As per sources, Virender first tried committing suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan. When he failed to hang himself, he shot himself with his service revolver.
The inspector at the Murthal police station said that they found Virender in a hanging position and he shot a bullet in his chest. The Inspector said that they heard a gunshot but they all thought that the sound might be of a tyre-burst.
Virender was sent to the police lines and he was upset as he felt that a fair decision was not taken against him.
