Haryana | Dead Body of a 22-Year Old Guy Found in Girlfriend's Courtyard

In Haryana, another tragic incident of murder has come into the limelight that occurred in the Sonipat district of the state.

A 22-year old young boy was found dead in the house of his 20-year-old girlfriend, yesterday at Butana village, Sonipat. The body of the victim was lying in the rear courtyard of the house when the Police first saw it. The boy was identified as Amit Singh, a school dropout and his body had more than 30 marks of fresh wounds on it. As per the preliminary investigation of Police, the boy was inflicted by sharp-edged and blunt weapons.

Who was Amit?

According to the Gohana police, the victim, Amit was a member of the village Kabaddi team and had an affair with Sonia, a class XI student and eldest amongst the siblings. Though both the girl and the boy were Jats but the family of the girl was not happy with their relationship. That is why the Amit and Sonia had decided to run away from their home, which led to his murder.

Who filed the complaint about murder?

The victim’s uncle, Ranjit Singh has filed a complaint against Karambir Singh, father of the girl and his son Bhola who had visited on the day when the murder took place. In his complaint, he has mentioned that the accused father and son had come to take Amit along with them by tricking him.

He also told the police when Amit did not came back to home that night, the family doubted of something unusual. They called up Karambir over telephone to inquire about their son but his reply couldn’t convince them. Therefore, Amit’s parents went to Karambir’s house where they found Amit’s body lying in the courtyard.

Further investigation in Amit’s murder

However, the investigation is going on in Amit’s murder case. The accused are being rounded up for interrogation in this case. The case of murder has been registered at Baroda police station of Gohana and the father of the girl, Karambir Singh, her mother, her two sisters and a brother has been accused of committing the crime. The post-mortem report is yet to come.
