Haryana Girl boxers Awarded With Desi Cow For Winning at The World Youth Women Boxing Championship | Here’re Details

Haryana girl boxing winners of the World Youth Women Boxing Championship will be given a desi cow each as the award by the Haryana Agriculture Minister. Haryana is one state of India that has produced a maximum of wrestlers and boxers time and again who have brought laurels to the country. Be it Sakshi Malik, Geeta and Babita Phogat, Vijender Singh or Yogeshwar Dutt, everyone has proved their mettle on the international arenas with full valor and strength.

Desi cows for Haryana based women boxing winners

Carrying the legacy of Haryana forward, six female boxers from the state, representing India had returned homeland after winning gold and bronze medals in the World Youth Women Boxing Championship. To congratulate the winners and to encourage them for their future endeavors, the Agriculture Minister of Haryana has announced to award them with a cow of desi breed. The Haryana State Government has congratulated the girl boxers for their diligence, endurance, and achievement not only in India but globally.

The Haryana Agriculture Minister was elated to see the girls of his state representing India at the international platform and winning gold and bronze medals at the World Youth Women Boxing Championship. He welcomed the girl boxers during an event conducted by the sports authority of India (SAI) at the Rohtak’s Rajiv Gandhi Sports Stadium (the boxing academy).

His motive behind awarding the girl boxers with desi cow was that the boxers are still very young and in their growing age nothing but the cow’s milk will make them strong, sharp-minded and beautiful. Money as award will be given by all to these winners of Haryana but awarding the desi cows is very unique and good for their boxing preparations.

The World Youth Women Boxing Championship was conducted in Guwahati, Assam earlier this month from November 19 to 26. Shashi from Hisar district, Neetu and Sakshi from Bhiwani district and Jyoti from Rohtak have won Gold medal however, Neha of Kaitha and Anupama of Palwal have won bronze medals in boxing. The state government is aggressively promoting sportsmen and sportswomen from Haryana to represent India at international level.
