The rapidly growing drug problem in Haryana and Punjab is becoming a concern for the police forces of the two states. Lately, the police have started raiding the suspicious places to catch hold of the drug peddlers. Despite strict punishments and laws, the administration is not able to curb down the menace of drug dealing.
The Rohtak police have busted a smuggling gang with marijuana in Rohtak. Two people have been arrested by the police with 105 kg of ganja (Marijuana). The police caught the drug paddlers when they got a tip about ganja delivery in Rohtak.
How The Two People Carrying Marijuana Were Caught By The Rohtak Police
The Rohtak police got a tip that a huge quantity of ganja was being carried in a van which entered Rohtak for delivering ganja to the customers. The drugs were supposed to be delivered at Khokrakot and Baniyani village in Rohtak.
One of the drug peddlers arrested by the Rohtak police has been identified as Chandan aka Bunty, a resident of Jhajjar. The second drug peddler is a resident of Najafgarh, New Delhi.
They both entered Rohtak in a Maruti Suzuki van with a registration number DL 3 CT-2764. The Maruti Suzuki van was stopped by the cops near Gymkhana club on Suncity road. A case has been registered against both the drug under peddlers under NDPS Act at the Urban Estate police station and the van has also been impounded.
The Drug Racket Across India
The Rohtak police have started their investigation and found that the drug racket was operated in Haryana and Delhi. The gang used to smuggle marijuana from Jharkhand and Orissa and later supplied to different drug peddlers and customers.
Vicky, the boss of the gang is a resident of Najafgarh. The drug gang used to smuggle marijuana through different modes of transport like trains, containers etc.
The two people caught had a plan to deliver marijuana to Najafgarh from New Delhi railway station. Vicky picked up drugs and took it to his rented accommodation, later packed the marijuana for delivery in Haryana. The police said that there are still a lot of people involved in the racket and they used to sell marijuana at an unreasonably higher price in different parts of the country.
