H & M (Hennes & Mauritz), world’s leading fashion brand has finally come to Chandigarh. H&M has opened up an exclusive store at North Country Mall, Mohali which will be catering to the residents of Chandigarh, Mohali and Punjab. This is the second store of H&M in North India just after New Delhi and is the first HM store in Punjab.
While we were expecting H&M to come at Elante, Chandigarh but the fashion brand has chosen North Country Mall as its home in the region.
About H&M
While many of you might not be aware about H&M, so let us tell you a bit about this iconic brand. H&M is a multi-national clothing chain with its headquarters at Sweden. Being a Swedish brand, H&M has over 3700 stores in more than 61 countries of the world. It was founded in year 1947 and as of now H&M employees over 1,32,000 people.
While the first H&M store in India came up in Bangalore, they soon came up with more stores in North India. Eyeing Punjab as a major market where people have a good spending power, H&M finally zeroed in on opening a store at Mohali’s North Country Mall.
How H&M rocked Chandigarh & Mohali
H&M Mohali store at North Country Mall was opened with a grand launching ceremony. A series of events were planned to create the hype and free shopping vouchers were given to first 200 visitors on the day of the store opening. Few highlights included a bike rally with guys and girls wearing H&M tshirt and carrying a H&M bag through Chandigarh. The rally also moved around Elante and other major spots in Chandigarh.
Apart from H&M, some other big fashion brands having a presence at North Country Mall, Mohali include Zara, Marks and Spencer’s, Decathlon, West-side, etc.
The new H&M store in Mohali is spread over 27,500 sq. ft area and has a great collection of men and women clothes & accessories. It also has a dedicated section for kids and teenagers.
