HTET 2018 Exam Postponed | Check Revised Schedule, New Dates & Other Details

The board has decided to postpone HTET 2018 exam again from December 2018. Know details about revised exam dates & application process online.

HTET 2018 exam is conducted to recruit the teaching staff every year. Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) conducts HTET to make candidates eligible for the post of teachers and lecturers in various schools recognised by Haryana Education Department. Haryana Teacher’s Eligibility Test or HTET 2018 was earlier scheduled to be held in November this year. The board of school education Haryana has decided to shift the dates of the exam to avoid clashing the schedule of HTET 2018 with other exams.

The board first postponed it to December last week which has now been further shifted to January 2019 . Candidates interested for the HTET 2018 exam are iterated to check the details about the exam by visiting the official website of the conducting body online.

As per the revised HTET 2018 exam schedule, BSEH will hold the test on January 5, 2019 and January 6, 2019 for the aspirants. This was done as the department requires a minimum time period of 3 months to prepare for the test. This change has been incorporated due to the examinations scheduled by HSSC.

By the time Haryana Education Department approved the exam, the time left to prepare for the same was only one and a half month, which was less. Hence, the board decided to postpone the HTET 2018 examination schedule until January 2019.

There are three categories in the HTET 2018 exam. The minimum eligibility criteria to take the HTET 2018 exam is different for each. The categories are made based on intent of the teacher for various classes. The same are elementary, secondary and higher. The first category is Classes I to V, second for Classes VI to VIII and third for Classes IX to XII. the eligibility for each is set by the department of school education, Government of Haryana.

Haryana Teacher’s Eligibility Test is conducted to ensure that the teachers recruited possess essential aptitude and ability to teach the students.  Apart from qualifying the HTET 2018 exam, the candidates need to qualify all the state level criteria laid down by prospective employers for final recruitment.
