Hyundai Data Reveals 90% sales of Hyundai i20’s Elder Sibling Verna Come From The Top End Models

The Korean automaker which is famous for its cars like the Hyundai i20 and the Creta revealed that the 90% sales of the Verna come from the top end models. This came in as a surprise to industry experts who believed that the Indian car buyer wanted value for money more than the features. The Hyundai i20’s elder sibling Hyundai Verna has also been crowned the largest selling C-Segment Sedan by dethroning the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Honda City. Let us have a look at what features does the Hyundai Sedan that sits above the i20 comes with.

The Korean Company has always relied on the features for both the Hyundai i20 and the Hyundai Verna

The Korean automaker has a different strategy to survive in the Indian market for its cars like the Hyundai i20 or the Hyundai Verna. Hyundai has always equipped its cars with some class-first features whether it is the premium hatchback i20 of the C-Segment sedan Verna. The Verna might not be the most spacious in the competition like the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz or the Honda City but it makes up for it in the features department which frankly can even rival a car from a segment above.

The Hyundai Verna that sits above the Hyundai i20 in the company’s portfolio comes with ventilated seats which is a great feature to have in India’s hot and humid climate. It also gets something called the ‘Eco Coating Technology’ on the Ac Vents which prevent the foul smell coming into the cabin of the Verna. Infotainment department is also the best in Hyundai i20’ elder sibling Verna as it gets both Android Auto and the Apple Carplay something that is missing from the Honda City which comes at a premium of 1 lakh over the Verna.

The Top-End variants of cars like Hyundai i20 and Hyundai Verna make more sense?

The fact that Hyundai i20 and the Hyundai Verna are selling more models at the top end means that the Indian car buyer is looking at features and safety equipment as an equal priority as the space and looks. The Indian car buyer who used to look for value for money in cars like the Hyundai i20 is now buying feature rich top end variants that come loaded with goodies to keep you entertained.

In a country where the Maruti Suzuki Dzire outsells the Alto which is the most affordable car in the market, the top end variants of the Hyundai i20 and the Hyundai Verna make sense.
