The 14th edition of the Auto Expo in Delhi is expected to be a grand affair for the Korean carmaker Hyundai. The automaker is likely to unveil a huge lineup of cars and SUVs at the 2018 auto expo.
The Auto Expo in Delhi is India’s biggest automotive event. The auto expo sets the right platform for auto manufacturers to flaunt a lot of muscle with their out of the box concepts as well as new models. Korean automaker Hyundai is all set to unveil some of the most-anticipated facelift variants of its cars as well as using the platform to showcase new models. Here’s a list of some of the expected new launches and facelifts that Hyundai may showcase at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Hyundai may showcase – Creta Facelift
It is likely that Hyundai may showcase one of its highest selling model – the compact SUV Hyundai Creta at the 2018 Auto Expo. Though Hyundai Creta does not show any signs of ageing, yet the automaker is likely to unveil the facelift of Creta due to the increasing competition in the segment. To offer newness to the consumers amid the new launches and updates from rivals, it is expected that Hyundai may unveil an updated version of the Creta at the 14th Auto Expo. While the engines are expected to remain same, the facelift variant may carry cosmetic updates.
Hyundai may showcase – Elite i20 Facelift
Another car from the Hyundai stable that may get a facelift is the Elite i20. Although this hatchback too is clocking good sales yet to keep up with the increasing competition in the hatchback segment, Hyundai is going to unveil a facelift of the premium hatchback soon. It is most likely that Hyundai may showcase the updated version of the Hyundai Elite i20 at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi. Though the company has not made any official announcement regarding the updates but the facelift may come with host of changes.
Hyundai may Unveil – New Budget Family Hatchback
Though it has not been officially announced yet, speculations are that Hyundai may showcase a completely new hatchback at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi. According to reports, a test mule of the new car was seen testing lately. It has also been reported that the new car from the Hyundai stable will be positioned in the hatchback segment and will take Hyundai Santro’s place that was discontinued few years back. The upcoming offering from the carmaker is speculated to come with either a 800cc or a 1.0-litre petrol engine.
Hyundai may Unveil – the new Sonata
The Korean carmaker is likely to bring the next gen Sonata at the Auto Expo. Hyundai’s premium sedan from the Hyundai stable will rival the likes of Honda Accord Hybrid and the Toyota Camry. The automaker may bring in a hybrid powertrain of the next-gen Hyundai Sonata besides the existing engines.
Hyundai may Unveil – the Sub 4-meter SUV Carlino
Hyundai had earlier announced that it will be launching the Hyundai Carlino, its first sub-4 meter SUV in mid-2019. There is a chance that Hyundai may showcase a near-production model of the Hyundai Carlino at the Auto Expo in February next year. The Hyundai Carlino, when launched, will compete against the existing sub-4 meter SUVs such as the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, newly launched Ford Ecosport facelift and the new int the segment, the Tata Nexon.
