According to reports, Hyundai has unveiled an extreme off-road variant of its popular SUV Santa Fe. Earlier, the Korean manufacturer had released the hardcore variants of its SUVs at SEMA for consecutive two years – 2015 and 2016.
The carmaker has yet again unveiled the extreme off-roading variant of its Santa Fe and this year’s concept has been christened as the ‘Rockstar Moab Extreme Concept’. It has been reported that Hyundai named it due to America’s partnership with energy drinks company Rockstar – the Moab. It is in reference to the area in Utah which is believed to be one of the most challenging off-road regions in the world.
Extreme Off-road variant Of Santa Fe SUV by Hyundai
Being a SEMA show car, the Rockstar Moab Extreme concept that has been developed from Hyundai Santa Fe to make it an extreme off-road variant of the SUV, comes with a number of modifications. The extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe comes equipped with a nitrous oxide system to give the Hyundai Santa Fe’s extreme off-road variant some extra boost. Nitrous Express has fitted the nitrous oxide system in the extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe. The extreme off-road variant of Hyundai Santa Fe also gets six-piston front brakes, Coil-over suspension and chunky off-road tyres.
The extreme off-road SUV sports Hyundai and Rockstar decals. These decals have been placed amidst a digital camouflage paint scheme that gives the Santa Fe based extreme off-road concept more of an extreme and rugged feel. A two-bar LED light system has been fitted to the roof rack of the extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe for an extreme outlook.
It has been reported that the extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe won’t go into production.
Specifications of the Extreme Off-Road Variant Of Santa Fe unveiled by Hyundai
Hyundai Motors has revealed its latest creation extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe. The concept extreme off-roader is yet to make its official debut but the company as tweaked its specifications ahead of its official debut at the 2017 SEMA Show.
It has been reported that Off-Roader Santa Fe Sport Concept has been developed from Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and has been modified accordingly to conquer Utah’s extreme off-road terrain. The modifications that have been made to the Santa Fe Sport for the extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe include R1 Concepts six-piston front. It also gets the four-piston rear big break kit coupled with King coil-over suspension and a 2.5-inch Bypass shocks with reservoirs. The extreme off-road variant of Santa Fe has been equipped with a 17-inch KMC Machete off-road bead-lock wheels, that comes with off-road tires.
