The prestigious Intelligence Officer recruitment exam conducted by Ministry of Home Affairs as an annual event in held at three levels starting from prelims (Tier-1), Mains(Tier-2) and a personality test cum interview round. The Tier-I level of the IB ACIO 2017 exam was successfully held on October 15, 2017 in an offline mode for the candidates who had filled online applications available at mha.nic.in online. The result of the same was recently declared in January 2018 releasing the list of meritorious candidates who had qualified for the IB ACIO Tier-2 Exam scheduled on February 25, 2018 this year.
The test is a ‘Descriptive test’ wherein candidates shall have to carry out essay writing and precis writing in an offline mode carrying 30 and 20 marks respectively. The entire test is of 50 marks which has to be attempted within a stipulated time period of 60 minutes i.e. one hour.
Intelligence Bureau IB ACIO (Tier-II) Exam | Check Qualifying Criteria & Other Details
Ministry of Home Affairs as the recruitment authority has set the parameters of judgement already for the IB ACIO exam held for Intelligence Bureau Officer recruitment termed as the exam ‘qualifying criteria’. This ensures that the candidates prior to taking the prestigious test shall know how much minimum marks to score to qualify for the selection. Well, individual qualifying criteria of the IB ACIO 2017 exam surely depends on the cut-off marks which is further a function of the number of applicants per year, but an overall combined score of 33% shall have to be attained by the candidate in bot marks of IB ACIO Tier-I & Tier-II exams 2017 to get an interview call.
Only those candidates who fulfil the aforementioned qualifying criteria for the IB ACIO 2017 exam are eligible to appear for the Interview round. The combined percentage obtained in the MHA ACIO Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam is computed on an overall score setting 100 as the benchmark.
