The IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam is the second phase of the exam. In all, the IBPS PI 2017 Mains Exam consists of 155 questions which are of 200 marks and are to be attempted in a time duration of 3 hours. The IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam is divided into 4 sections namely reasoning & computer aptitude which is of 60 minutes (1 hour), English Language which is for 40 minutes, Data Analysis & Interpretation which is conducted for a period of 45 minutes as well as General Awareness which has special reference to the Banking field and is held for another 35 minutes.
The IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam is divided into the objective as well as the descriptive parts. The descriptive exam is conducted for a duration of 30 minutes and is a test of the English language mainly letter writing and essays. The candidate needs to secure passing marks in this IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam phase.

The descriptive phase of the IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam is of 25 marks in total. Whereas, securing passing marks here is necessary for the candidates appearing for the IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam. The objective phase which is divided into 4 sections has a separate number of questions and marks assigned to each one of them. The Reasoning & computer aptitude consists of 45 questions and 60 marks are assigned to it.
For the English language, the number of questions is 35 whereas the marks allotted are 40. Data Analysis has 35 questions which are subject to 60 marks each. General awareness, on the other hand, contains 40-1 marker questions to be attempted by the candidates appearing for IBPS PO 2017 Mains Exam.
