Exam Pattern & Subjects Of IBPS PO 2017 Exam
The preliminary tier of the IBPS PO 2017 Online Exam consists of 3 tests namely the English Language test, the quantitative aptitude as well as the reasoning ability. There are 30 questions in the English language test which are attempted to be in the English language only. Whereas there are 35 questions in the rest of the two tests which can either be attempted in the English or the Hindi Language.
A minimum cut-off for the preliminary IBPS PO 2017 Online Exam which is decided by the IBPS should necessarily be achieved in order to appear for the Mains exam.
The Mains IBPS PO 2017 Online Exam consists of subjects like Data analysis & Interpretation which has 35 questions , Reasoning & Computer aptitude which has 45 questions, General/economy/banking awareness consisting of 40 questions as well as two English language tests one of which is the letter and essay writing of 25 marks and the other being a 35 questions test. All the tests except the English language can be attempted in both English and Hindi language.
IBPS PO 2017 Online Exam | Duration & Marks Distribution
The Preliminary test is conducted for a total time period of one hour. The Preliminary IBPS PO 2017 Online Exam is of 100 marks out of which 30 marks are allotted to the English language test. Whereas, 35 marks each are provided to the quantitative aptitude as well as the Reasoning ability.
The candidates who clear the preliminary IBPS PO 2017 Online Exam further appear in the Mains Exam.
The Mains IBPS PO 2017 Exam also has separate time allotted to the different subjects. The reasoning test is of 60 minutes, the data analysis for 45 minutes, the general awareness for 35 minutes and the English language for 40 minutes which in total sums up to 3 hours. Apart from this, separate 30 minutes are allotted to the second English test that is essay and letter writing.
