The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Probation Officer (PO) Prelims Result 2017 is declared online today in the late evening and the candidates who have appeared for the test are now relieved. It was speculated that the IBPS PO Prelims result 2017 will be declared on November 4 but nothing officially was confirmed till yesterday.
IBPS PO Prelims result 2017 & main online examination date
The IBPS PO and Management Trainee (MT) Prelims was held last month starting from 7th October to 15th October. The selected candidates will be eligible to write the IBPS PO main exams that will be held online. Those candidates clearing the IBPS PO Mains 2017 will then be eligible for the next round, which is an interview. The shortlisted candidates will be able to download their call letter / admit card for the main exam in November 2017. The IBPS PO Main Online Examination 2017 is scheduled for November 26, 2017, after which the results will be announced somewhere in December 2017.

To check IBPS PO Prelims 2017 results online, the candidate will have to first visit the official website of IBPS i.e ibps.in and click on the link of result. Now enter all the required details asked and submit. You will now have your results displayed on your computer screen. Now view your IBPS PO Prelims 2017 result and download it on your computer. For future reference, take the print out of the result.
Talking about the total number of candidates who have applied and appeared for the IBPS PO recruitment 2017 in various banks of India, approximately, 20 lakh people have applied for IBPS PO VI Recruitment. Out of which it is speculated that 4 lakh candidates will qualify the preliminary round and will get selected for the interview round. Though the exact number of candidates who have applied for IBPS PO recruitment this year have not been officially announced.
Last year, 48500 candidates cleared the preliminary round of the IBPS PO recruitment out of which only 16721 candidates qualified as the finalists. In the year 2015, 40763 candidates got selected for the interview out of which 12434 candidates were in the final list.
