IBPS SO Exam on 30 Dec, Admit Cards Released | Check Exam Pattern & Important Instructions

The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection is going to conduct the IBPS Specialist Officers Preliminary Exam on Dec 30 and 31. The IBPS SO main exam is scheduled to be conducted on  January 28 for candidates who qualify the preliminary exam.

IBPS has released the IBPS SO Admit cards for the preliminary exam on its official website. Candidates who have applied for the IBPS Specialist Officers exam can download the admit card for the IBPS official website. There are a total of 1315 specialist officers vacancies in the public sector banks and other participating institutions. Here are the steps to download the IBOS SO Admit card for preliminary examination.

How to Download the IBPS SO Admit Card 2017

First of all visit the IBPS official website www.ibps.in. After opening the home page, click on the link “Click Here to download your Preliminary Call Letter (CRP SPL VII)” scrolling on the top. A new page will open where you will be required to log in by entering your registration number and password. After login, your IBPS SO Admit card will be displayed on the screen. You should download your admit card and take a print out of the same as you need to carry it with you on the day of examination.

Check IBPS SO Exam Pattern 2017

IBPS has introduced a major change in the selection process of specialist officers. Earlier, there was only one examination for specialist officers followed by an interview, but from this year IBPS has introduced a preliminary exam before the main exam. Only the candidates who qualify the preliminary exam will be allowed to appear in the IBPS SO 2017 main exam.

The IBPS SO Prelims exam will consist of Reasoning, English language, Quantitative Aptitude and General awareness related to banking industry. The English section will consist of 50 questions carrying half mark each making the total marks to 25. The Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and General awareness will consist of 50 questions in each section carrying 1 mark each. The Syllabus and difficulty level of the IBPS Specialist Officer exam will be same as that of any Banking Officer recruitment test.
