IGNOU 2019: Indira Gandhi National Open University has introduced new healthcare courses for the session from 2019 onwards.  Even IGNOU has been planning to offer free admission to some of the students in the year 2019. IGNOU has recently launched a new course in the healthcare field and even admission for the same has been on the official website.

IGNOU 2019: University introduced new courses for healthcare candidates

Indira Gandhi National Open University along with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare started with new skill-based health programme for the year 2019. The aim of IGNOU for the newly launched healthcare programme is to train healthcare personnel to improve healthcare facility and delivery across India. Also, a district and state level team has been made to launch and develop these programmes.

The newly introduced healthcare programmes of IGNOU includes- Certificate in Home Health Assistance (CHHA) for personal care at home, Certificate of General Duty Assistance (CGDA)- trained persons to help doctors and nurses, Certificate in Phlebotomy Assistance (CPHA) for diagnostics assistance and Certificate in Geriatric Care Assistance (CGCA) for the help of elderly. Acid attack survivor to get free admission in IGNOU from 2019

Recently IGNOU has started collecting fees from the SC/ST category students from 2019 onwards. Although one of the regional centres of IGNOU Lucknow has announced to offer free admission for the acid attack survivors from 2019 onwards. As of now University has started the same with 10 students and given them admission in 6 months Certificate course in Food and Nutrition. As per reports, the main aim of IGNOU is to provide education to the deprived section and bring them into the mainstream.

Although the admission process for January session 2019 in Indira Gandhi National Open University will end by 15 January and students can apply online for the same i.e ignou.ac.in.
