IGNOU to Now Start Special Short Term Courses in Skill Development

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been planning to introduce Skill Development course from the new session. After starting with Police Training Course, now IGNOU is all set to start a certificate course on Skill development. Although it will only be started in the state of Odisha, as the same has been initiated by the Higher Education Department of the state.

Earlier as well, IGNOU has been running Skill Development course in the state of Rajasthan. Now IGNOU has joined hands with Odisha Government for the same. Check out the subject detail, fee structure & more regarding IGNOU’s Skill Development course below.

After Police Training Course, IGNOU to Introduce Skill Development Course in 2018

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has rolled out the presentation regarding the introduction of Skill Development Course from the new session. And as per the presentation, IGNOU will offer Skill Development as a short-term course as an add-on with their studies. Although the aim behind this is to make Students earn while they learn.

Under the Skill Development Courses, IGNOU will teach subjects like- beauty & wellness, Rural Mangement, NGO Management, IT, Dairy & Organic farming, Bee Keeping & many other that will help students to open their own business. IGNOU will provide Skill Development courses in all degree colleges in 6-month of duration.

Here’s the Fee structure & More details regarding IGNOU’s Skill Development Course

As far as the fee structure of IGNOU’s new course for the year 2018 is concerned, all degree colleges will allow their students to enroll themselves for the same. And the fee for IGNOU Skill Development course will range in between Rs. 1500 to 4000. Whereas the SC/ST students can register themselves for it with paying any admission fee.

Although IGNOU will also aim not to hamper daily routine of the college & to avoid the same, IGNOU will arrange the classes of Skill Development courses on Sunday in all the degree colleges in the state.

We can say its a good step from one of the largest Open Universty in India IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), as Skill Development course will surely reduce unemployment & increase entrepreneurship between youngsters.
