India Bound Honda HR-V Spied | Could Look Like This

Honda HR-V has been a long time coming in India but somehow kept getting delayed for some reason. However, the car was spied testing in Malaysia which points us towards a launch in the India soon. Honda showcased the HR-V for the first time in 2013 and with the kind of proportions it comes with, it makes complete sense for a market like India. With the growing affection of our people towards SUVs, the Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur rival – Honda HR-V will do wonders for the company here.

Honda HR-V: Features and Specifications

Honda HR-V has been long time due and if it does finally come to India, the car will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta and the Renault Captur. The only cars driving the sales for the company in India are the City Sedan and the compact crossover WR-V. The Indian customer has been constantly ditching the Sedans for the SUVs in every possible segment and bringing a car like HR-V might do wonders for Honda.

The car might get the same engine options from the company like the 1.50-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel when it comes to India but there is a good possibility that the 1.6-litre diesel might make its way along too. Company officials have confirmed that the Honda HR-V will come to India with a couple of updates over the existing model that currently sells globally. The car will be positioned as a premium crossover and there is a good chance the prices may overlap with the Jeep Compass as well.

Honda HR-V: Launch and Price in India

The Honda HR-V might be showcased in India at the Auto Expo, 2018 along with the Honda Civic which will launch later next year. Honda has been able to price all its cars really well and the same is expected for the HR-V as well. If priced competitively, the HR-V will take on the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur, and Mahindra Scorpio. Expect the pricing to start around 10 Lakh Rupees and if the 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is offered too, it might take the prices of the Honda HR-V up to 16 Lakh.
