Virat Kohli Powers India to Win Against New Zealand at PCA Mohali

Mohali comes alive whenever there is an international match being played at PCA stadium. This time it was India vs New Zealand on 23rd October – the 3rd one day international out of 5 match series. India won the match by 7 wickets.

New Zealand has scored 285 runs and got all out in 49.4 overs.

India Won The Toss & Batted Second

It was India that won the toss and offered New Zealand to bat first. Maybe, Dhoni knew that the weather at Mohali will help them in batting at night hours due to the dew on the grass.

Excellent bowling by the Indian team restricted New Zealand to a moderate score.

Dhoni & Virat Partnership

After losing 2 early wickets, it was the partnership between Virat Kohli and M.S. Dhoni that stood strong and brought India closer to a win.

M.S. Dhoni scored 80 runs and got catch out.

Virat Kohli remained unbeaten at 154*.

This was the second highest partnership between M.S. Dhoni and Virat Kohli in the history of One Day Internationals.

Virat Kohli was awarded the man on the match.

The Awesome Chandigarh Crowd

While the India team was bowling, they gave many reasons to the crowd to cheer with their super strong fielding. The crowd went crazy as soon as a wicket fell for New Zealand.

However, the actual cheering from the crowd came when India was batting. It was sixes and fours by the Indian batsmen that gave sparks into the crowd at PCA Stadium. Voices could be easily heard outside the stadium as well.
