The Indian motorcycle company has launched the Indian Scout Bobber 2018 in India. The classic cruiser was unveiled in July 2017 that has a classic raw design. The striped black color treatment and the lower rear suspension provides the Scout Bobber a more appealing look. The cruiser bike lovers can’t just wait to get their hands on the Indian Scout Bobber 2018. Indian motorcycle dealerships have already started accepting bookings for a token amount of INR 50,000/-.
Indian Scout Bobber is a stripped and rugged version of its retro style sibling Indian Scout motorcycle. The company has named the new Retro style version as the Indian Scout Bobber. The retro style motorcycle is expected to lock horns with Harley Davidson.
Earlier there were rumors about the Indian Scout Bobber to be launched in early September, but the company has delayed its plan by two months. The images of the newly launched motorcycle were already leaked earlier this month. The bike was supposed to be launched at a price of Rs.13.95 lakh.
Harley Davidson Rival Indian Scout Bobber Specifications
The motorcycle is powered by an 1131 cc, liquid cooled V twin engine that produces a power of 100 PS and a torque of 97.7 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission gearbox same as offered in the Indian Scout. The Indian Scout Bobber is handled by the tracker styled handlebars and the footpegs are positioned have been placed 38mm back than the previous version. The seat has also been lowered and the alloy wheels are blacked out with wide radial style tyres just like Harley Davidson.
The suspension duties are carried by the telescopic forks in the front and the rear suspension has also been lowered by 25mm. The headlight of the bike is circled in a black nacelle and the exhaust silencers are vented with exhaust shields. The Indian Scout Bobber is featured with black speedometer and the exhaust is given with chopped fenders in front and rear. To make it look different from the regular model, the motorcycle is offered with a new fuel tank badge and dual tone genuine leather seat.
Will Indian Scout Bobber Beat Harley Davidson in Price and Looks?
The Indian Scout Bobber is priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs.12.99 lakh and will be imported to India via the CBU route. The classic cruiser bike will be made available in five colours – Red, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Thunder Black and Thunder Black Smoke. The Scout Boobber cruiser is expected to give tough competition to Harley Davidson in India.
