Iphone 8 and iphone 8 plus were launched at an event in Mumbai and we finally know when the device will arrive at the nearest stores and launch price in India.the phones were taken off sheets by Akash Ambani the son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. This marked a new partnership between the Cupertino giant and the Jio telecom owned by Mukesh Ambani. JIO intends to make the iphone price in India more affordable.
Akash ambani told there was more in common between apple and jio as both the companies have revolutionised their respective industries. Apple has added new keyboards for India which now supports 11 local languages. You can also now dictate to the keyboard in Hindi. Mukesh Ambaini and Tim Cook were also a part of the event via video conference.
About the JIO Apple partnership for iPhone in India:
The focus of the JIO – Apple partnership is to make the iphone affordable in India which otherwise carries a huge price tag in India. JIO plans to do that by providing a buyback assurance value of 70% of the total price of iphone in India. Customers will be able to avail this when they upgrade to the newt iphone next year. 70% of the buyback will be adjusted once the customers buy the new iphone and hence will get a marginal discount over the price of new iphone in India. Another term of this offer is that you have to use a JIO connection in your iphone for the next 12 months. This is a special plan valid for only iphone users in India and is priced at 799INR per month.
The move assures the customers will use a JIO connection for the next 12 months.
The offer will be valid if the iphone is bought from reliance digital or the e-commerce giant Amazon only. The customers will also have to get enrolled for the buyback programme. The iphones are then to be exchanged from the same places where they were initially bought from. The new JIO plan is offering 90 GB of data per month at the price of 799 a month in India. The plan can be availed by both prepaid and postpaid customers.

Apparently only the iphone 8 and iphone 8 plus are available in the Indian market. The iphone X will be available at a later date on the November 3rd. The iphone 8 and 8 plus are available at a starting price of 64000INR in India.
