‘The Jaspal Bhatti Humour Festival’ is all set to come at Tagore Theatre in Chandigarh. The festival is a comedy play in the memory of late Jaspal Bhatti. Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration is organising this 3 day ‘The Jaspal Bhatti Humour Festival’ in Sector 18.

The festival has been dedicated to the king of comedy ‘Jaspal Bhatti’, who has passed away in 2012 in a road accident. The festival has been line-up by some talented comedians of India who will perform for ‘The Jaspal Bhatti Humour Festival’ in Chandigarh.

About Jaspal Bhatti

Jaspal Bhatti was a well- known personality in the comedy world. He was also known as the ‘King of Comedy’. Jaspal Bhatti is well known for his famous TV series ‘Flop Show’ and ‘Ulta Pulta’ that were telecasted on Doordarshan in late 80’s and early 90’s. He was even honoured with India’s third highest civilian award ‘Padma Bhusan’ in the year 2013. He also acted in many of the Bollywood movies like- Aa Ab Laut Chalen, Jaanam Samjha Karo, Humara Dil Apke Pas hai and lot more. Unfortunately, Bhatti died in a car accident in the year 2013 near Shahkot- Jalandhar road just a day before the release of his movie ‘Power Cut’.
