JEE Mains 2018 Exam | Amendment Notification For Appointment of Scribes By PwD Candidates Out Online

JEE Mains 2018 exam amendment notification introducing changes in the code of conduct of the test is out online. Releasing an official notification for the PwD candidates modifying their code of conduct in holding the Joint Entrance Examination 2018 this year, the board has released the detailed write-up online. The notice deals with the appointment of scribes by the ‘Person with Disabilities’ for attempting the upcoming scheduled JEE Mains 2018 exam in the month of April this year. Candidates who have already registered for the JEE Mains 2018 exam are requested to check the detailed notification pertaining to the exam online here.

Central Board of Secondary Education which is the conducting body for the JEE Mains 2018, this year both in online and offline modes has released an official notification yesterday i.e. on January 10, 2018. The notification declares that appointment of the scribes by the PwD candidates who belong to the visually impaired category initially. But, the latest notification introducing major changes in terms of addition of candidates who could opt for scribes while appearing for the JEE Mains 2018 this year. The initial notification which is mentioned in the information bulletin available on the official website of the exam online stated that only visually impaired candidates possessing more than 40% of the disability could opt for the scribe wherein one hour extra is also permitted apart from other considerations in the JEE Mains 2018.

The candidates belonging to PwD category who have registered for the upcoming CBSE Joint Entrance Exam 2018 scheduled in April this year are notified about the changes induced by the authorities via the release of an amendment notification online. The list of candidates belonging to PwD category has been extended apart from the visually impaired candidates to the candidates who are dyslexic, have disability in upper limbs, or lost fingers or hands, they have been restricted to fill the Optical Response Sheet (ORS) while attempting the JEE Mains 2018.

Also, the scribes appointed shall be Science stream students shall be from Class XI having Mathematics as one of their subjects. The other provisions pertaining to the appointment of scribes by the registered candidates belonging to PwD category.
