India Made Jeep Compass Safest In Australia Too | Gets 5 Star Safety Rating

Jeep Compass made its way to Australia and New Zealand last month and the ANCAP (Australian New Car Assessment Programme) gave it a 5 Star safety rating. The Compass is manufactured and exported from India to all the right hand drive countries including Australia. The Jeep brand has never compromised on quality and the safety features have always been top notch. The Jeep Compass turned out to be one of the safest cars when tested from front as well as side collisions.

What Makes The Jeep Compass So Safe?

The Jeep Compass that is sold in India and also exported from here to countries like Australia and New Zealand is one of the safest cars to be in according to the ANCAP. What makes it so safe is the top notch build quality and the presence of class leading features that are present to prevent a collision. The exported vehicle comes with 9 airbags including two at the front, curtain and side chest.

The presence of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) in the Jeep Compass minimises the chances of a collision, thus assuring the safety of the occupants. There is also a feature called LSS which kicks in to alert the driver if he is found to be going out of his lane. The left hand wheel drive is also one of the safest cars money can buy since the Jeep Compass got a 5 Star rating at the Euro NCAP ratings.

Price and Competition of the Jeep Compass in India:

The Jeep Compass was launched in India three months ago at an unbelievable price of 14.9 Lakh Rupees. It turned out to be way more affordable than expected and pitched it right against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV 500. For the amount of features and safety it features, the Jeep Compass easily takes on cars from a segment above and has already sold more than 10,000 units in less than three months. The range topping variant of the Compass comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 4 wheel drive for a price of 25 Lakh Rupees in India.
