Jio, Airtel, Vodafone & Idea Compared for 4G Internet Speed | Know Which is Fastest

The entry of Reliance Jio in the telecom market in the year 2016 with its free services for first six months took the telecom industry by storm. After the launch of Jio, many users shifted to the new network. The free services of Jio ended last year in the month of March, and the telecom operator launched its plans. These plans are affordable plans and everyone loved the plans of Jio.

Jio started a revolution in the telecom market and to match with the tariff plan of Jio every other telecom operators launched new plans to attract users towards itself. Jio launched its plans with unlimited calling and unlimited data usage. In the beginning, Jio amassed more than 125 million new subscribers. In its starting phase, users of Jio complained about the poor network and poor 4g downloading speed.

Jio, Airtel, Vodafone & Idea Compared – 4G Downloading Speed

According to the report of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), Reliance Jio is on the top of the list for the maximum downloading speed in the month of February. Reliance Jio recorded 21.3 Mbps speed for downloading and it is followed by Airtel with 8.8 Mbps speed. The third spot is grabbed by Vodafone. Vodafone recorded 7.2 Mbps downloading speed.

Idea Cellular is at the last spot in the 4G downloading speed in India in the month of February. Idea Cellular recorded 6.8 Mbps downloading speed. In the month of April last year, Reliance Jio has an average downloading speed of 3.9 Mbps and it was even less than the Airtel 3G downloading speed which was 4.4 Mbps in the month of April.

Coming to the upload speed of Airtel, Jio, Vodafone and Idea Cellular, the telecom operator that tops the uploading speed is Idea Cellular. Idea leads the list with an average uploading speed of 6.9 Mbps.  Idea Cellular which is on the last place in terms of downloading speed is on the top of the uploading speed. After Idea, Vodafone is in second place with an uploading speed of 5.5 Mbps. The third place is grabbed by Jio with a speed of 4.5 Mbps and Airtel is on the 4th position with a speed of 3.9 Mbps.
