Booking the Jio 4G Phone offline is also as simple as booking it online. Those who don’t have access to the MyJio app can simply visit a Jio retailer on August 24 to book the Jio 4G mobile phone offline. Visiting the store would not guarantee speedy delivery of the Jio 4G phone as the delivery of the Jio 4G handsets will start from September onwards. Even if a person pre-orders the phone on the opening day of the bookings the phone would still be delivered on a first come, first serve basis. The company aims to deliver 5 million units each week.

The registration process for the Jio 4G mobile phone is pretty simple for individual users. Individual users can simply order the phone online or offline using their Aadhaar number but if you are a business owner and want to order the phone in bulk you will need to provide company’s PAN or GSTN number. After filling in the required details for completing the registration process the customer will receive the details around Jio Phone launch on the registered mobile phone via SMS, and on registered email address via email.

Yes, you read it right, the Jio Phone will be free of cost according to Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. The user would need to make an upfront payment of Rs. 1,500. This payment of Rs 1500 will be completely refundable after three years. The Rs. 1,500 security deposit is mandatory to avoid any potential misuse of data.

Jio Phone specifications and features

The entry-level Jio 4G phone will come loaded with unlimited voice calls, data, and text messages. This phone will have to be recharged with a Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan monthly pack of Rs. 153. This pack will offer free voice, texts and high-speed data unlimited data which has been capped at 500MB per day, for 28 days. This pack will also entitle the user to use my Jio app for the same period of time. According to reports, the Jio Phone will be equipped with an alphanumeric keypad, 2.4-inch display with QVGA display. The Jio 4G mobile phone will also have microSD card slot, Torchlight and FM radio. The single SIM handset will work only on 4G VoLTE networks. The phone will have a panic button and will support voice commands and 22 Indian languages.The phone may miss out on WhatsApp support but a web browser, Facebook and several other features have been loaded in the Jio 4G Mobile phone.
